Total Heat Removed

To calculate the total heat removed by air condition chilled-water

h = 500 q ΔT

h is the total heat removed in Btu per hour

q is the water flow rate in gallon per minute 

ΔT is the  temperature difference in Fahrenheit

Evaporator Flow Rate

To calculate the evaporator water flow rate we use this equation

qe = htons 24 / Δ

qe is the  evaporator water flow rate in gallon per minute

htons is the air condition cooling load in tons

ΔT is the  temperature difference in Fahrenheit

Condenser Flow Rate

To calculate the condenser water flow rate we use this equation

qc = htons 30 / ΔT

qc is the condenser water flow rate in gallon per minute

htons is the air condition cooling load chiller tonnage in tons

ΔT is the  temperature difference in Fahrenheit

The air conditioner in a chilled-water system cools water down to 40 – 45 °F and The chilled water is distributed in a piping system throughout the building and connected to air condition cooling units wherever installed .
